Beautiful area, lots of fun activities and great staff. Cabins are spacious and have been updated recently. We love the fact that we are 20 minutes away from town. We can unplug and enjoy our family and nature without the distraction of civilization. There is WiFi at the guest center which if free and is fast.
Have been coming here for years. Even with some of the park trails closed due to storm damage, it is always a pleasure to stay here. Staff is always friendly and helpful. Park is always clean and well maintained. You don't encounter the "party" crowd here which is very nice.
The cabin was great. It was very clean and spacious. We stayed in cabin 20, and it sleeps 8 people. We only had 4 in our stay here .This place had everything you needed to feel like you were right at home .

Pickett is one of the best vacation spots in TN. The campground is nice and the cabins are luxurious. Depending on the style you choose, they are huge, sleeping up to 10 people. They have bathrooms, wifi, tvs, fireplaces, a full kitchen... It's a home away from home. They are essentially fully stocked with everything you need, things like silverware, plates, a dishwasher, soap, and towels. Essentially, you bring your food and clothes and you're all set! Park staff are delightful and fantastic help if you need anything or want advice about any of the nearby trails.
We stayed here on our way home from Myrtle Beach. But we were in our tent, not cabin. Beautiful campground. It's way up there. Hairpin turns and all. The base of the mountain is a cluster of small properties. Lots of dogs (tagged) just running around in the evening. everywhere. We didn't see any but our tent neighbors did. Great surprise in the cave that we discovered on our morning hike. Trails are steep, flip flops not advised.
Great place to hike and the cabins are really nice. Just grocery shop before you get there. They have everything you need in kitchen, bath and bedrooms. Just bring your favorite pillow. Also plenty of firewood. Lot's of scenic overlooks and deer everywhere.
Our cabin #1, was wonderful. It was one of the original CCC cabins. The location was quiet, the view was pleasant, and the location was convenient. Be prepared, however; there is no TV and no WiFi. The lack of TV was a "so what". Lack of internet took some adjustments. I went to the park office porch a couple of times to satisfy my "addiction". After the second day I realized that the trails and surroundings were far more valuable so I let the world go on without me. We will go back! So little time...so many trails.
